Is my voice *really* good enough for singing lessons? It’s the most common question students ask themselves before they finally book a lesson with me. Doubting our capabilities and lacking confidence is the number one reason you will put off learning to sing. But what if you chose to do it differently this upcoming new year? If you think your voice isn’t good enough to start lessons with me, read this, and then read it again.
How do I know that my voice is good enough for singing lessons?
The truth is, unless you try to learn to sing, you don’t know what you can *really* do.
So… as a teacher that has seen hundreds of students doubt their voice capabilities, let me ask you:
Have you tried to learn to sing by taking lessons from a qualified teacher?
If you have not, then you really don’t know what you are capable of. See, the thing is, singing, like all other skills, is a matter of practice. While some beautiful voices are born, A LOT are also made. You are born with the apparatus to sing: your body as your instrument, but training will teach you how to make the sounds that you need to be able to make in order to get that beautiful voice you are wanting. Training will take your raw material, and refine it.
Training with me includes ensuring that you don’t make these common singing mistakes (which includes teaching you to breath correctly), while also teaching you vocal techniques that allow you to refine that voice of yours!
Don’t say you can’t do it until you’ve put out some effort. Your voice is actually good enough! Book with me today and we can train your voice together! I offer both online and in-person singing lessons in Calgary. You can view all my services here.
